Once we created and animated the opening titles, establishing the visual identity of the event, we created unique introductory animations for each award category.
The categories were: Digital Photography, Digital Illustration, Environmental Graphics, Print Design, Animation, Broadcast Design, Interactive Design, Time-Based Media, Self-Expression, Live Action, and Motion Graphics.
Each animation was crafted to reflect the category type, playing with various visual metaphors and styles to make each piece stand out.
Each of the finished pieces were scored by the brilliant Federico Chieli in New York City, adapting the event’s main musical theme into individual soundtracks which matched each category’s style, pace and genre.
